 2006-2007 DSCR Leadership

In order to run a club, you need some people who are willing to roll up their sleeves 

and do some work. Below is a listing of our current officers and a brief description of their duties.

Membership Coordinator: Handle all membership related activities including dispensing information to prospective members, signing up new members, maintaining membership database & mailing lists and developing strategies to attract new members.

Treasurer: Handle financial aspects of the club including assets, budget, bank account, etc.

DSCR Representative: Represents the people what DSCR program provides and supports the club.

Trip Leaders: Work with trips committe. Know exactly what is in trip budget. Become familiar with all contractual obligations and key dates. Establish financially responsible payment schedule and cutoff date. Know club policies (refunds, smoking, priority, room assignments, minors). Contact destinations for promotional items (posters, brochures, trail maps). Search internet and contact visitor's bureau for area  information. Submit promotional articles to newsletter and update regularly. Maintain personal data sheet for all signed up (name, address, phone, sex, age, preferences). Inform people on payment schedule and follow up as needed.

Ski Instructors: teaching basic skiing skills to recreational skiers.

Lodge: Collect payments and submit promptly to treasurer with transmittal form. Record order of receipt of payments and use to assign priority. Check on discount rates (seniors, children). Check on preferences (roommate, smoking). Notify treasurer when payments to providers are due and confirm.    Confirm all lodging and tranportation reservations.
Arrange room assignments according to priorities and preferences.  Organize pre-trip informational meeting.
Provide detailed itinerary and contact information. Provide info about destination area (restaurants, shops, activities, history) Promote social interaction during trip (parties, activities, meals).
Make reasonable attempts to resolve unanticipated problems. Bring personal data sheet for everyone in case of emergency. Maintain and submit receipts for all trip expenses. Submit trip financial summary to treasurer.

Publicity: Provide promotional ads for email. Direct the manufacture and sale of promotional items (shirts, etc.)
